As for my life here, it's going alright. I feel like I've been here for ages though. Since we, as a first year, spend soooo much time together inside and outside of class, we're sort of like a family now. I seriously feel like they are my sisters and brothers. But, there are definitely more guys and girls, and last night, it was just me and like 5 guys drinking beer, eating pizza, and watching Team America lol I totally fell asleep, but I sort of remember them laughing hysterically and making rude comments. I guess it's okay because at least they feel comfortable around me?

The school work is going okay. I'm getting ahead of everyone by having meeting with professors and trying to get a hold of advisors. Technically, we don't have to decide until the end of november, but I really wanted to secure a position before the competition gets too harsh. So far, I've gotten a good feed back from the professors that I want to work for, and I have meetings with them next week to talk to them about what I did in undergraduate years.

It's kind of weird because all the professors ask me about UC Berkeley professors in chemistry or chemical engineering department and I have no idea who they are, since I was in engineering. They talk to me like I should know them, and I think the only ones I know are the ones that Liang have mentioned it to me, and that's even iffy. Maybe I should study all the professors at UC Berkeley chemistry department to be able to have a conversation with them.

I'm enjoying my lab courses as well. We just had a TEM/SEM lab, which was really interesting. That's more close to materials science, so I feel a little bit more comfortable in that class. I also had a synthesis lab where I got to make nylon 6-10. How exciting. I also had a quiz given by a professor in his office. He asked me bunch of questions, but he said that I passed....so, I hope that means I get a B lol

Alright, that's about everything that's going in my life. Nothing really exciting. Still trying to decide on my winter break. I really want to go to NY!
